Define BLS by an itemised schedule
A BLS label is not an acceptance standard. The order should state every patient-handling, oxygen, airway, immobilisation, infection-control and electrical item with quantity, make/model responsibility and mounting method.
Typical workstreams to specify
- Main stretcher, loading interface and restraint
- Oxygen cylinders, regulator, outlets and secure mounts
- Portable suction and basic airway support
- First-aid, immobilisation and infection-control storage
- Attendant seats, belts, lighting, ventilation and washable surfaces
- Auxiliary battery, inverter, shore power and protected sockets
Clinical devices and consumables must be selected by the buyer’s authorised medical team and checked against the applicable Tanzania import and device requirements.
