ALS requires system integration
An ALS vehicle must be engineered around the selected monitor/defibrillator, ventilator, suction, infusion support, oxygen endurance, electrical load and clinical workflow. Device names alone are not enough.
Acceptance schedule
- Exact device manufacturer, model, quantity and supplied accessories
- Mounting and restraint method for every device
- Calculated electrical load, battery autonomy, inverter and shore power
- Oxygen consumption assumptions and reserve
- Ventilation, cooling and lighting under local ambient conditions
- Registration, calibration, training, warranty and service ownership
Use a larger platform when the crew, device load, working clearance or storage requirement cannot be safely accommodated.
